About Chiropractic Care

Discover how different life feels when your body is in alignment

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic care is not just for those with discomfort or pain, it’s also for those who want to get more out of life. Through safe and effective adjustments, we’ll help resolve discomfort, unlock the potential within your body, allow it to function at its best and facilitate enhanced wellbeing, so you can thrive in the roles and activities that are most important to you.

Chiropractic care can be an effective approach to mitigating and managing back and neck pain, headaches, migraines, poor posture and tension. Our aim is to support your body, restore balance and optimize functional performance so you regain your ability to do what you love.

Every single message in your body goes via your nervous system - that is your brain, spinal cord and spinal nerves. If there are disturbances in those pathways, those messages are disrupted, meaning your body can’t feel and function at its best, and therefore impacting on the way you experience the world.

Through safe adjustments, chiropractic care is all about ensuring a healthy, functioning spine, so your body is best-positioned for health, healing and vitality.

Our approach is to look at more than the symptoms that are holding you back from feeling or performing at your best. We also consider long-term improvements and how physical stresses in your life may be contributing to imbalances in your body. Through personalized care plans that support your body, we help you get back to living your life with ease, energy and enhanced wellbeing.

The spine and nerve system are integral parts of overall health.

By re-establishing specific posture and movement standards, it’s possible to take the strain off the spine to prevent long-term damage, to allow optimal function and to prevent long-term changes associated with poor posture.

As well as assisting symptoms such as lower back pain, neck pain, headaches/migraines, sciatica and tension, chiropractic care can help facilitate:

  • Improved posture
  • Increased flexibility
  • Improved sleep
  • Greater energy levels
  • Improved stamina and strength

Correcting dysfunctional spinal segments has also shown to change brain processing which may result in better coordination of arms and legs, better joint position strength and improved muscle strength.

Put simply, chiropractic care aims to restore balance in the body so that it functions better.

What to expect.

We’ll discuss your health history, your concerns and your wellbeing goals. We’ll then undertake a thorough chiropractic examination, posture and movement assessment, neurological testing and X-rays where necessary. This consultation allows us to get a clear understanding of where you are at today, so we can create a plan that helps you explore greater wellbeing, long term.

We’ll talk through our findings from your Initial Consultation, and provide you with our recommendations for a care plan moving forward. Your personalized program could include spinal adjustment visits, specific postural or movement exercises, or recommendations for other modalities that could support you; such as, yoga, pilates or massage.

Reviewing your progress towards your goals is important so we can understand where adjustments to your care may need to be made. We’ll generally schedule a re-examination around 6-12 weeks after your Initial Consultation, and evaluate how changes to your comfort, posture and mobility are tracking.
